Cape Town duo Medicine Boy celebrate signing to Fuzz Club with new single 'Water Girl', check out the video below.

Medicine Boy are a two-piece band based in Cape Town, South Africa. Citing the likes of Rowland S. Howard, Jesus and Mary Chain and Spiritualized as influences, the duo deal in a seriously-impress noise-rock sound that veers between crushing and fragile. Following the release of their debut album back in 2016, Medicine Boy have joined the Fuzz Club family for a brand new full-length due for release later this year.

To celebrate Medicine Boy have shared a new single titled ‘Water Girl’ which is accompanied by a video that you can stream below. ‘Water Girl’ is a pulverising listen that demands your attention from the off, beneath the grinding fuzz of the guitars and sluggish primal percussion lies harmonising dual-vocals that offer a glimmer of light in an otherwise feral and head-heavy listen. We’ll have more news on the album very soon, but until then…

André Leo (guitar/vocals), Lucy Kruger (keys/vocals) and their trusted drum-machine formed Medicine Boy in 2014 with the release of the More Knives EP. Their debut album, Kinda Like Electricity, came out in 2016 with a bunch of stand-alone singles either side. During this time the band picked up a growing reputation in South Africa and Europe, where they’ve toured twice in 2015 and 2016.

Medicine Boy will perform at Fuzz Club Eindhoven 2018 this August, alongside The Black Angels, The Underground Youth, Holy Wave, Ron Gallo and loads more.
