LA garage-rockers to play two shows at this year’s Fuzz Club Eindhoven

Having just wrapped up a run of US dates with Night Beats and The Dandy Warhols, Los Angeles’ finest Cosmonauts have now announced that they’ll be bringing their shoegaze-y garage-punk to Europe this summer!

Alongside the 20-date tour announcement, which includes two shows at Fuzz Club Eindhoven, both the main event and warm-up show at Stroomhuis the day before, the band are sharing a new video for ‘Medio Litro’ – taken from Star 69, their fifth album out now via us in Europe and Burger Records in the States. You can check out the video below.

‘Medio Litro’ is a jangly reverb-soaked ode to the drunken, rambling conversations we’ve all had out on smoking patios at varying stages of that night’s bad decision-making. Lines like “We’ll go to the party / If we can find parking / We’ll go to the show / But we don’t have any money”’ and “Get another manager / and another publicist / Call me when you get this / Make it on the guest list” is a woozy lament to life in LA delivered with the sardonic wit and perfect detachment of a band that is well-acquainted with the game.

Over the course of a decade Cosmonauts have become an integral mainstay of the LA scene that blossomed around Burger, their long-term label. If you mention Cosmonauts – longstanding project of core members Alexander Ahmadi and Derek Cowart – in most LA or Orange County circles, nods of recognition will ensue, followed by a proud reference to someone’s friend doing a stint in the band, and several enthusiastic adolescent memories of shows gone by. It’s an idea that’s toyed with throughout Star 69, the band’s fifth studio album and follow-up to 2016’s A-OK!.

Star 69 is out now and available to buy on vinyl below.
