Psychedelia has always been deeply ingrained in South America's culture and history, harking all the way back to the 1960s with the politically charged Tropicalia movement. Things are no different now; it’s host to a wealth of great bands such as Follakzoid, Boogarins and The Holydrug Couple, to name a few, but the next to join the ranks for global domination is Las Cobras - a totally hypnotic boyfriend/girlfriend duo hailing from a small town in Uruguay.

Last year we released Las Cobras' incredible debut album, Temporal, their first recorded material to be unleashed into the world. The album is influenced as much by psych/rock'n'roll greats such as BJM and Suicide as it is wildly immersed in the lysergic sounds of South America – at times delving into lush and textured afro-beat and Tropicalia influences.

The darkest and heavier cuts from the album, such as second single ‘So Much Love’, see the band delve into dark psychotropic waters. Where some tracks see their exploratory psychedelia shot through the lens of traditional Latin American sounds, at times the luscious kaleidoscopic elements are dropped in place of a sinister, fuzz-fuelled slant driven by motorik drum machine percussion, distorted guitars, foreboding bass lines and enchanting harmonies from both Sofia and Leandro.

After selling out super quick first time around, we've gone and given Temporal a long-overdue vinyl repress for those who missed out first time around. This is still a very limited pressing, so don't sleep on picking up a copy before they're gone again!

Second pressing info: 180g ultra-clear vinyl in a gatefold sleeve
