Breanna Barbara signs to Fuzz Club, new album coming later this year

We’re so excited to announce that the incredible Breanna Barbara has joined the Fuzz Club family! The NYC-based artist will release her second album with us later this year and next month she’ll be hitting the road in the US for a run of shows with Night Beats and WITCH, as well as a return to this year’s SXSW.

A southern occultist juxtaposed in the middle of New York City, Breanna Barbara writes songs that make your soul dance, songs that make you question how many lives you’ve led, and if you ever lived at all. Her beautifully soulful music is centred around her goosebump-inducing voice and rooted in a long harboured love for blues, rock’n’roll and psychedelia.

The forthcoming record will follow Breanna’s very highly praised 2016 debut album ‘Mirage Dreams’. Recorded in Nashville with Andrija Tokic, the album received high accolades from V Magazine (“her smoky quartz voice is one in a million”), Bandcamp (“fans of Chelsea Wolfe and King dude will find plenty here to love”), and Action Bronson, who invited her to perform on his VICELAND talk show The Untitled Action Bronson Show. The album’s ‘Nothin’ but your Lovin’ track also went on to soundtrack Dior’s Love Chain New York ad campaign.
Following the release of ‘Mirage Dreams’, Breanna set off on tours around the US and Europe and began collaborating with trip-hop vanguard Tricky. As well as joining his US touring band as lead female vocalist, Breanna also pieced together an official rework of Tricky’s 'When We Die' track and featured on his 'Lonely Guest' album. In the downtime between touring she began penning songs for the next record as well as a number of standalone singles, ‘Big Bang Blues’, ‘New Moon’ and ‘The Way Out’, that were released over the last year.

Later this year Breanna will return at long last with her second studio album and we couldn’t be more excited to be bringing it into the world alongside here. Trust us when we say that this record is something really special. More news coming soon….
