In recent years Upupyāma have been cultivating a fast-growing following for their blissed-out psychedelic daydreams, blending an ever-evolving mix of influences that draws in everything from pastoral ’70s krautrock, acid folk and heavy prog-psych wig-outs, by way of Anatolian rock, Thai disco, library music, Bhutanese traditional and an array of other global rhythms. On the studio recordings Upupayāma is the songwriting project of Italian multi-instrumentalist Alessio Ferrari, but live with a six piece band these songs take on a whole new life – expanded and all the more rapturous, mind-blowing and hypnotic.
Taking to the main stage of the 2025 Fuzz Club Festival in Eindhoven, NL. Ferrari and band stunned audiences with songs from their recent 2023 album ‘Mount Elephant’, 2022's ‘The Golden Pond’ and their self-titled 2020 EP. The set was recorded straight from the sound desk and mixed and mastered for this release by Bob De Wit, with artwork by Olya Dyer incorporating Sam Wiehl’s stage visuals.
