Wet Satin share debut single 'WitchKraft Singles' out now on Fuzz Club Records.
Comprised of former Lumerians members Jason Miller and Marc Melzer, Californian duo Wet Satin are today releasing their debut single ‘WitchKraft Singles’. Out now via Fuzz Club, you can stream the track below.
Wet Satin was the name of a reality-altering psychotropic sunscreen from a Philip K Dick novel Miller read in a dream. With an album lined up for release later this year, the project got going in 2020 when the duo suddenly had a lot of unplanned downtime for some reason.
A far cry from their previous voyages into brain-frying psych/space-rock with Lumerians, the duo describe Wet Satin as "Kosmische Tropicale" – an expression of reverence and enthusiasm growing from a long-time shared obsession with lost Cosmic Disco, Cumbia, Afrofunk and Library Music records.
"We wanted to make something fun. Not too serious, but not frivolous either. Something that paid respect to its influences by adding a square to the quilt rather than trying to make a replica." The first peek into their upcoming debut release, ‘WitchKraft Singles’ is equal parts dark magical ritual, electronic dating service, and milk protein isolate. Good for spirit, vitality and strong bones.
