Montreal-based Elephant Stone, is thrilled to announce the 15th anniversary release of their 2009 Polaris Music Prize-nominated debut album, The Seven Seas, available on vinyl for the first time. This special Deluxe Remastered Edition, brought to you by Little Cloud Records, will be released September 27, 2024.
This edition features a double gatefold LP, including a fully remastered version of The Seven Seas and a brand-new mix of their 2010 sophomore release, The Glass Box. Additionally, it includes exclusive demos and an outtake from The Seven Seas, offering a unique glimpse into the band's creative process.
Accompanying today’s announcement is the single + video for “Lullabye.” Originally intended as the album closer for The Seven Seas, Rishi felt it was too personal a statement at the time:
"This song is one of the first I wrote for Elephant Stone back in 2007 and holds a very personal place in my heart. It was my way of dealing with the grief my wife and I felt after losing our first child to a miscarriage. Originally intended to be the album closer, I felt it was too personal to release at the time. But now, with three beautiful kids and the passage of time, I feel the moment is right. This song still means a lot to me, and I hope it will resonate with you as well.” Rishi completed the mix for “Lullabye" earlier this year and the promo video for crafted by his good friend/collaborator JM Lapham.
