Floral Image share new Minami Deutsch remix of 'The Dream' and announce 'Meadowland Remixed' LP
Floral Image drop Minami Deutsch remix of 'The Dream' and announce new 'Meadowland Remixed' album. The new digital album, out April 23rd, finds the Norwich UK band's debut album 'Gone Down Meadowland' remixed, reworked and covered by the likes of Minami Deutsch, Los Bitchos, Vinyl Williams, Black Market Karma, Upupayāma and more
Minami Deutsch's extended, downtempo psych-jazz remix of 'The Dream' follows a UK tour together late last year and is available to stream/download here
ICMYI, last week we also announced a limited repress of 'Gone Down Meadowland' and some new Floral Image merch in the Fuzz Club store. And don't miss them live on tour this year! They're out on a UK/EU run with Kula Shaker this month, with more European shows and festivals to come.
"We’re delighted for this to be the first single of Meadowland Remixed to see the light of day. We had the best time on tour with Minami Deutsch in November and it's been a privilege to collaborate with one of our favourite bands on The Dream. They made it even more Copacabana than we could have imagined it - with the extended groove, cheeky woodwind and a gloriously Manzerakian organ solo. Enjoy!" – Floral Image
“It’s always an honour to receive remix offers from a new generation of musicians. When I first listened to their album, I was struck by how colourful it was and felt drawn to working on one of the tracks. At the time, I was drawn to a more relaxed, groove focused approach, which naturally led me to work on The Dream. Remixes are often taken lightly, so I tend to overthink them a bit, haha. I always approach them with the intention of pushing beyond the original. Hope you enjoy listening." – Kyotaro Miula / Minami Deutsch
