Crows release new video for Closer Still

Arriving following packed out UK/EU tour dates, London post-punks Crows are today share a video for album opener ‘Closer Still’. The track is the opening track of the newly released ‘Beware Believers’ album, out now via the Bad Vibrations imprint. Watch the video for ‘Closer Still’ below and pick up the LP/CD here.

An exercise in pummeling noise-rock, ‘Closer Still’ is one of several unapologetically political songs on the album. Frontman James Cox says: “‘Closer Still’ was written about the fit-for-work scandals that kept happening where the Department for Work & Pensions were deeming people fit for work when they obviously weren’t able to, taking away what little support they received from the state in an attempt to save on expenditure. It really highlighted our government’s contempt for the vulnerable. People whose daily lives were incredibly difficult.”

Equal parts ferocious and hedonistic, Beware Believers perfectly captures the raucous, anarchic energy that they’ve become renowned for on the stage, and it was met with critical acclaim from fans and reviewers. It includes previous singles ‘Slowly Separate’, ‘Room 156’, and ‘Garden Of England’. Next week they will headline the Bad Vibrations Records showcase at Great Escape (May 14 @ Revenge), alongside the great Unschooling, Regressive and PVA.
