New Music: Golden Hours - Heading For The Moon

Golden Hours share second single 'Heading For The Moon', from incoming album 'Beyond Wires' out February 6 2026

Golden Hours are today releasing ‘Heading For The Moon’, the second single to be lifted from the post-punk group’s sophomore album, ‘Beyond Wires’, releasing February 6th 2026 on Fuzz Club. Pre-order the LP here

Based between Berlin and Brussels, Golden Hours are Hákon Aõalsteinsson, Wim Janssens, Tobias Humble and Rodrigo Fuentealba Palavacino – an outfit of seasoned players who between them have performed as part of Gang Of Four, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tricky, The Fuzztones and more. Golden Hours first rumbled out of the shadows in 2023 with their self-titled debut and are now emerging once more with ‘Beyond Wires’.

‘Heading For The Moon’, the second single from the album following recent lead single ‘The Letter’, kicks against your eardrums from the get-go. Tobias Humble’s machine gun drum pounds hard, and like love’s chokehold beyond death, there’s no escaping it. The murky undertow gently lifted by Hakon Aõalsteinsson’s melancholic guitar licks, brushing against Wim Janssens’ resigned delivery. Rodrigo Fuentealba’s noisy guitar adding that gloomy flavor that’s been ever present in Golden Hours’ music.

“Heading For The Moon casts a most welcome shadow in the desert’s heat, sandblasting ears, and triggering frequencies that make you want to throw a sink through the window like the chief at the end of ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’, and run off into the night. It sounds like The Banshees and Interpol sharing the stage for one last encore at Howlin’ Wolf’s private night club in heaven. 80s new wave injected with a shot of blues. She’s real gone but her spirit lives on, forever wrecking God’s living room.” - Wim Jannsen (Bass/Vocals)
