New Music: MINI SKIRT - Squeeze Down

MINI SKIRT share new single/video for 'Squeeze Down', ahead of 'All That We Know' LP release on Nov 14th

Byron Bay pub-punks MINI SKIRT are cracking open another new single titled ‘Squeeze Down’ – a jagged, full throttle assault that rattles with garage punk intensity. It’s the latest to be taken from the new ‘All That We Know’ LP out November 14th on the Bad Vibrations. Watch the video by Ben Portnoy of C.O.F.F.I.N and pre-order the limited vinyl here

“This track was written after our first EU/UK tour back in 2022,” remembers frontman Jacob Boylan. “The lyrics are about the unshakeable sense I had of feeling isolated, misunderstood and defensive about my identity. It was the first time I realised who I am is so deeply rooted in where I am from. Cam had put the riff together for his other band Chrome Cell Torture, but they had decided it wasn’t tough enough for them, so us big whimps took it and ran with it.”

Five long years since their debut album ‘Casino’ snuck into the ears of punk enthusiasts around the world, Mini Skirt’s second full length album, ‘All That We Know’, is now nearly ready to hurl at the world. All grit and no glamour, it delves deeper and leans even harder into their signature beer-spilling, teeth-kicking Australian punk, paying homage to its pioneers X and Radio Birdman. Mixed and mastered by Eddy Current’s Mikey Young, the record is out November 14th as a DIY self-release in AUS and via Bad Vibrations ROW. ‘Squeeze Down’ follows earlier singles ‘Pottsville River’ and ‘Been A While’, all streaming now.
