The Italian band will hit the road once again in October
Out today, 'Eat Acid See God' is the new single from Italy’s finest psychedelic punks The Gluts. It is an early taste of the Milan-based band's fourth album which they have recently finished recording with producer Bob De Wit (A Place To Bury Strangers, White Hills, The Sonics, Gnod). Not yet announced but pencilled in for release in Autumn 2021, 'Eat Acid See God' is an early insight into what the band have in store on the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Dengue Fever Hypnotic Trip’ LP. As blistering and face-melting as it is hypnotic, you can stream ‘Eat Acid See God’ below. In support of the new material, the band will be setting off on a European tour with fellow Fuzz Club comrades, 10 000 Russos.
On the single, the band said: “‘Eat Acid See God’ came out during a session held in a gloomy atmosphere with only dim lights in the rehearsal room, despite the sun shining bright and long that late summer afternoon. The first few synth notes we started with turned into a sticky musical slime. We felt like flies stuck in honey: angry and desperate. Almost consequently it’s the heaviest, most psychedelic song on the whole album and it’s the most different to the rest of the album. It sounds like God’s wrath, a rising furious tide of flames. No words were really needed, only vocals that sounded like they were coming from an obscure and remote otherworld.”
