The Telescopes announce sixteenth album 'Growing Eyes Becoming String' and share single/video 'What You Love'
We're excited to announce The Telescopes' sixteenth studio album 'Growing Eyes Becoming String', out Feb 9th 2024. A masterfully hypnotic set that matches its more melodic moments against heavy drone-rock blowouts, you can pre-order the LP/CD here
Originally recorded over two sessions back in 2013 – one during a harsh Berlin winter at the Brian Jonestown Massacre studio with Fabien Leseure, and a second back in Leeds with early Telescopes producer Richard Formby – it’s a lost Telescopes treasure that nearly never was.
For years presumed lost due to a hard-drive crash but now rescued from the ether, 'Growing Eyes Becoming String' shows a more song-based departure from the free-form noise improvisations that largely characterised that era of The Telescopes: “Loaded with guitars, noise and melody, swirling around pounding repetition, this is a more vocal document of where The Telescopes' head was at during that time.” - Stephen Lawrie The album is available to pre-order now on limited edition 'Black Splatter' LP (Fuzz Club/Bandcamp exclusive), 'Black Cloud' LP (Levitation/Live Exclusive), Clear LP and CD.
