Talking about the record, their first piece of new music in four years, Black Lizard said: “We have been working on ‘Heads’ for the past few years, taking our time. The main theme on this record is going forward in life and getting better. From the more 60s psych of ‘Celebration Of A New Dawn’ we’ve gone for a more straight-up garage-rock sound on this one.” The resulting ‘Heads’ LP sees raw, fuzzy guitars combine with infectious echo-soaked vocals and driving rhythm sections to create a record that trades in a timeless rock’n’roll hedonism.
