A rather enigmatic and cosmopolitan duo, the Chilean Mauricio Santana and the Irish-Danish Madeleine Kate McGowan currently nested in the heart of Copenhagen, Oracle O. pose an interesting mixture of well-traveled and bizarre hues upon a canvass of steadfast rock ‘n roll. Their long overdue first release, “Cracking The Eyes”, which has taken some years of remastering and even a name change for the duo, presents a morbidly sinister vocal display upon classic rock ‘n roll riffing, occasionally spiced up with a connoisseur selection of tribal beats and folk influences. Putting it simply, few are the things, which are to be considered straightforward in this album.
