C.O.F.F.I.N release new single 'Cut You Off' and sign to Bad Vibrations Records in UK and Europe
Sydney rockers C.O.F.F.I.N have signed to London label/promoters Bad Vibrations and are dropping their new single and video, ‘Cut You Off’, ahead of headline UK tour dates in May. ‘Cut You Off’ comes as the highly anticipated follow-up from C.O.F.F.I.N’s hell-ride tour across the globe supporting mates Amyl and The Sniffers, which garnered their reputation for explosive live performances on the world stage. Watch the video below.
Recorded and produced by Jason Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb) at his studio, The Pet Food Factory, ‘Cut You Off’ is an electrifying three-minute, high-velocity pummel with nods to 70’s Australian boogie rock & roll, matched impeccably with the gritty, unmistakable roar of drummer/singer Ben Portnoy. Founding member Portnoy describes ‘Cut You Off’ as "the forlorn anguish of witnessing a friend being cut off from their support network, cut off from their truth, from themselves - and knowing there is only one way to set them free."
Hailing from the ocean shores of Sydney, the four-piece punk/rock & roll band formed in 2005 as schoolmates influenced by a huge love for music, skateboarding and a good-times-all-the-time attitude. Over the years, they've recorded and released four studio albums, one live album, and three EPs, all of which have sold out globally, and got hundreds of gigs, headline tours, and festival appearances under their belt.
Freshly signed to Bad Vibrations (UK/EU), Goner Records (US) and Damaged Record Co (AU/NZ), ‘Cut You Off’ is the first taste of a new album set for release later this year.
