Magic Castles share new single 'Hey Alright', the third single to be lifted from imcoming LP 'Realized' out April 24th
Magic Castles release new single ‘Hey Alright’, the third and final single to be lifted from their incoming album ‘Realized’ ahead of its release April 24th on Fuzz Club. Their first album in nearly five years, ‘Realized’ is a set of lush psych-rock reveries from Minneapolis songwriter Jason Edmonds. Pre-order the album on orange vinyl here
Consisting of nine dreamlike, melody-led trips that unfold in waves, ‘Realized’ is equal parts hazy nostalgia and widescreen modern psychedelia, centring dreamy, heavily-layered arrangements, floating vocal harmonies and hazy shoegaze shimmer.
Following recent singles ‘Mary Anne’ and ‘Abandoned Mansions’, Edmonds says of latest cut ‘Hey Alright’, out everywhere today: “This one was recorded at my studio with Adam Patterson, centered around the hypnotic drum machine, which I ran through a delay pedal and through my Music Man amp. I wrote it after a wild night in New York City getting lost in Chinatown during hurricane rains.”
